I can’t believe there are only five days until Christmas. FIVE!! Where has this month gone!? I’ll be honest, I was itching to decorate, and sing along to christmasy tunes since.. November 1st! And now, it’s here!! We’re also rolling into the last week of school! Which means adorable Christmas concerts, endless sugary festive treats and scrambling to put something together for your little one’s teachers a holiday gift. Well do not fear, I have put together a quick, thoughtful gift for those very special teachers!
I have to admit I’m a sucker for those artificially scented potpourri bunches you find in home decor and craft shops. They provide me with such instant gratification of that warm, cozy feeling this time of year brings. The downside.. they can be overpoweringly scented, last a few weeks at best and are pricey! The few arrangements I have around the house I’m positive I’ve had for years now and are just collecting dust.
‘Twas the night before school, you think you have all your items covered as you do your final check through the to-do list. I got the kid’s haircut, purchased all their supplies, have their backpacks and new outfits laid out, oh can’t forget to charge the camera to take a photo for Grandma and Grandpa and then it comes to you.. how cute would it be to have them holding a little first day of school sign!!
As parents we are constantly trying to capture our children’s most beautiful moments. Unfortunately, we don’t have a lot of a family in the area so I tend to share our kid’s milestones and most beautiful moments on Instagram. I had an empty wall in the kids play room that I was hoping to add a DIY project to and what better way then to showcase these special pictures!
Our 3 year old daughter has recently become interested in helping with the daily chores of keeping up our home. Folding laundry, feeding the pups, organizing our recycling, watering the plants, are just a few things she’s eager to help us out with. So it got me thinking.. preschool is starting up this September (cue the ugly cry) and what a great time this would be to start a little more of a structured routine for her each day in preparation of preschool.
