Ben’s 1st Birthday!

This past weekend came and went so fast!! We had family and friends from near and far all gathered together on such a beautiful day to celebrate our little boy’s special day! Even my brother in-law and his fiance snuck in (*hint* look for the iPhone) to take this memorable family photo! We had everyone over for an afternoon BBQ to hang out, catch up and play some backyard games.

Jodi from Glitter Paper Scissors was so great to work with in getting the banners and cupcake toppers! She was quick to respond, accommodating to the few changes I had requested and had them sent out right away. I would highly recommend checking out her Etsy page.

We only had a couple friends with little ones coming to celebrate with us, so the idea of buying goodie bag supplies didn’t seem practical. Last minute I found Shayla’s Sweet Treats Facebook page and saw she had previously made some barnyard themed chocolates. I reached out and sure enough with a week to go she was able to provide us with these really cute individually wrapped farm animal and ‘1’ chocolates that were a great little treat to give as a thank-you!

I was on the fence about purchasing these photo props as I wasn’t sure anyone would use them, BUT we had a great time taking pictures with the kids! They could definitely be used again, and for the price a great addition to any party.

A big THANK YOU to everyone involved! My parents and my sister for helping us with all of the food prep, and Jeff for helping us short little Italians put up the party decor that we couldn’t reach 🙂 My in-laws for making the drive and in one case my mother in-law for flying in from Alberta to join us in celebrating Benny’s big day! While not everyone could make it, we really appreciate and love you all and can’t thank you enough for joining in on making Ben’s 1st Birthday a special one!
