Out are the days of throwing together a couple outfits, the basic necessities and in the car we go now that we have two little ones. We’ve been on quite a few road trips to the Okanagan and surrounding areas of the West Coast since we’ve had our kids and with the number of times we have had to pull over because of a big poopy mess, forgotten something, and had to run into the closest store, it’s safe to say I’ve learned to make a list and pack well before heading out the door.
Happy Cherry Season!! Growing up in the Okanagan, I was fortunate enough to be surrounded by an endless amount of fresh seasonal fruits and veggies, so I was sure to take advantage of a family friend’s cherry orchard while we were visiting my parents in Osoyoos. But, I’m thinking we got a little carried away with our cherry picking, because I’m running low on ideas of how to convince everyone to finish them off!
Our 3 year old daughter has recently become interested in helping with the daily chores of keeping up our home. Folding laundry, feeding the pups, organizing our recycling, watering the plants, are just a few things she’s eager to help us out with. So it got me thinking.. preschool is starting up this September (cue the ugly cry) and what a great time this would be to start a little more of a structured routine for her each day in preparation of preschool.
