Father’s Day is just around the corner!! With the chaos of us preparing to move over these last few months we both decided to limit the gifts for this year.. buutttt I thought it would be a great idea to get my hubby’s input on some of his absolute favourite things and share them with you in the case that you’re on a list minute hunt for ideas! Pat’s big on simple, functional items.. and though he can be a bit of a hoarder LOL.. sorry babe!! I will say he does get great use out of the things he buys. We’re big on Amazon in this house too, so a lot of his favourites I’m sure you can easily find there! Continue reading “Father’s Day Gift Guide”
It’s been awhile since I’ve done a life update for you all! I know it’s lonnnggg overdue, so here’s the scoop on what we’ve been up to lately! I feel like with Spring comes new beginnings and a fresh start and that’s exactly the path we’re going down. You may have noticed I’ve left a few hints about some upcoming changes for our family, changes we weren’t ready for nor expecting. I know, I know.. quit being a Debbie Downer about it and just SPIT IT OUT!! Well.. Continue reading “Life Lately..”
We’re back!! What a trip! We were so excited to take off to Hawaii to spend some much needed time poolside and on the beach with our little family, but of course the stress of getting there in one piece weighted heavily on our minds!! Ben does not travel well! And not until recently connecting the dots.. I get motion sickness sooo it makes total sense that he could too! But we made it and as the title says we literally slept, ate, chilled on repeat and I wouldn’t have changed a thing!
I love me some quick and easy recipes, especially ones with limited dishes. Buuuttt I tend to lean towards heavier carbed meals just because it is easy and I know the kids will eat it. Coming from a more European upbringing, I also love me some heat and spice and have always enjoyed trying out different ethnic foods and recreating it myself! So one day, when I was craving to order-in from my favourrrite Thai restaurant with all my might, I fought back the urge and tried to make something similar with what I had in the fridge. The first couple of times, it was okay, nothing to rave about, but now.. I think I have it!!
Welp.. we made it guys!! What a whirl wind of a spring break! I thought I would be ready to get back into the hustle and bustle of our daily grind, but honestly I could use another week yet.
My to-do list is ever growing as I’m sure you fellow mamas can relate to, but these last two weeks were completely focused around family and time together. I don’t know if it’s because I feel our time coming to an end soon on the West Coast, so we need to soak it up as much as we can or that I feel our family’s disconnection with hubby traveling so much that I feel our time together is more precious then ever.
